Embodied myth (series)

I am deeply fascinated by the narratives embedded in objects, particularly those that have transformed through prolonged use and human interaction. These objects, often mundane and overlooked, become a body of reserver to the passage of time, accumulating stories and myths that are etched into their surfaces. My artworks are an ode to the silent storytellers in our lives—the objects that bear witness to our existence and carry our histories within their altered forms. Each piece invites  contemplation of the myriad ways in which our lives are imprinted upon the world around us, and how, in turn, these imprints become part of the collective human story. My work seeks to uncover these hidden histories, tried to find links with all those myths and stories which may evoke some sense of personal stories with the viewer.

Tracing Narrative in Fragments (Series)

I am captivated by the stories embedded within objects, particularly those transformed

through prolonged use and human interaction. These often mundane and overlooked objects

accumulate stories and myths etched into their surfaces. We frequently ignore the potential of

these receptacles, which are not only reservoirs of the past but also it connect us with myths

and stories it’s carrying within, possess incredible abilities to find oneself.

Seeds, in particular, hold extraordinary potential for life itself. I sometimes introduced seeds in

the body of my work to emphasise the possibilities within. Through this understanding, I've

come to realize that healing is not about erasing the past but about accepting it. It’s about

finding meaning in brokenness and embracing it. As we journey toward wholeness, we discover

that the vessels we create are not merely restorations of what once was but testaments to our

capacity for renewal.

Once Familiar

In the quest to find myself, I looked back the myriad of things imprinted on my psyche

and physical body. I have realized that I, as an individual, am shaped by the place I

grew up and the objects Interacted in my daily life. Those objects, woven into the fabric

of my existence, contributed to the person I've become. But when I look back at them, I

ask myself: do I truly know these objects, or are they just logged in my memory, devoid

of true understanding?

In this series, my attempt to knowing those objects by minutely going through every

deformation and eroded surface, trying to uncover the memories embedded within

them. These humble objects were used by me once daily at my early ages. Over time,

as these objects were used, their forms changed, bearing the marks of human touch

and interaction. This transformation becomes a form of organic storytelling, where each

scratch, dent, and patina tells the story of the object's journey, hinting at the hands

that have held it and the lives it has touched.

I think I know these objects—they are so familiar to me—but do I really? Have I ever

truly known them? This doubt begins to take root, sparking a cascade of questions that

lead to a fundamental inquiry: "What does it mean to know something?" Through this

questioning, I am tracing my own identity.

Sometimes what we gather over the period of time, it becomes the part of us. An

emotional connections deepen over time, anchoring individuals to their surroundings.

Ultimately, habitualization transforms the new landscape into an integrated

environment, reflecting the interplay between perception, cognition, and acceptance.

Landscapes are constantly evolving as people interact with and reinterpret their

surroundings. It reflects both continuity and change, as new experiences are layered

upon existing narratives, creating a rich tapestry of meaning and significance.

This often attributed to spatial memory and environmental reminiscence. Our mind

encode and store information about the layout and relationships within familiar

landscapes, allows us to retrieve memories associated with them.Medium: Ink and
