Tracing Narratives in Fragments

I am captivated by the stories embedded within objects, particularly those transformed through prolonged use and human interaction. These often mundane and overlooked objects accumulate stories and myths etched into their surfaces. We frequently ignore the potential of these receptacles, which are not only reservoirs of the past but also connect us with the myths and stories they carry within — possessing an incredible ability to help one find oneself. Seeds, in particular, hold extraordinary potential for life itself, and I sometimes introduce them into my work to emphasise the possibilities within. Through this understanding, I have come to realise that healing is not about erasing the past but about accepting it — finding meaning in brokenness and embracing it. As we journey toward wholeness, we discover that the vessels we create are not merely restorations of what once was, but testaments to our capacity for renewal.
